Setting up Laravel Server
Hey Guys,
I bought DTLive from CodeCanyon and when trying to get this thing off the ground, I was surprised to note some discrepancies. I would like to first understand a bit about the technologies used esp for the admin and the API.
I thought the admin was built using Laravel however at some place in your documentation you have mentioned about setting up Node.js which is confusing. The package.json file in the Laravel project I guess is used for adding bootstrap support for the views and it's not part of any Node.js setup. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I was able to setup the database and when trying to run the Laravel server (using 'php artisan serve') after updating .env file with the db details I got an error
Failed opening required '/Users/jugs/Sites/dtlive-ott/ServerCode/admin_panel/server.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/Cellar/[email protected]/7.4.33_2/share/[email protected]/pear') in Unknown on line 0
I had to add server.php (from another Laravel project) in the root folder to fix that error.
And after that when I load the page, I get 404 Page Not Found.
I couldn't find any instructions on setting up the server. Appreciate if you can shed some light on this.
Before putting up the source for sale, you must make sure your documentation is up-to-date. Most of the comments I see in CodeCanyon is regarding setup. What is the whole point of buying the source if we can't set this up ourselves.
Cheers
Jugs
